The Pueblo Chieftain
(April 13, 2015)
PUEBLO ENTREPRENEURS, mark your calendars.
The Colorado Impact Fund, a venture capital fund established and financed by a group of state business leaders, is planning a community outreach meeting. It is slated to begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Pueblo Convention Center and should last about an hour. The Pueblo Economic Development Corp. is co-hosting the gathering.
Frederico Pena, the former Denver mayor and secretary of both the transportation and energy departments during the Clinton administration, is an organizer of the $63 million Colorado Impact Fund. Secretary Pena said investors view it as a way for the private sector to take a more active role in promoting economic development.
